Phonenumbers.net. An excellent site for finding people all over the world. It includes extensive directories for home phone numbers and addresses, e-mail, fax and business numbers.
Finding people on the net. Excellent links to other useful sites. You get the usual selections of e-mail and address search sites and you'll find links to college databases and software such as Finger to help you figure out where a sender of e-mail hails from.
Missing you, UK missing persons. A great resource to connect people looking for lost friends, relatives and the like in the UK. Posting your search details is free and the whole site is divided into regions, making your search easier.
Whowhere. Search tool for finding people in the US. Not only do you get their phone number, if they are listed, but you also get directions and a map of the area they live in, great if you're planning to drop in unexpectedly on relatives!

Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg has gathered hundreds of books that exist in the public domain and turned them into e-texts (electronic texts or, in this case, electronic books), that can be read online or downloaded.
